SUMMER DREAMING… ALREADY

I know, I know… spring just started. Actually, it’s not even technically here just yet, but suddenly I’m dreaming of warm summer nights and pretty bikinis and sexy coverups. I just can’t help it.

I found all these dreamy boho summer looks at Nic del Mar {specifically from the lookbook} and couldn’t resist sharing. It’s summer somewhere right now…

NIKE AIR MAX 1 ULTRA QUICKSTRIKE “CITY COLLECTION”

The-Nike-Air-Max-1-Ultra-Quickstrike-City-Collection-coll

If the flowers on sneakers seem a bit ‘abused, may’ flourish ‘and large, on the occasion of International Women’s Day. Landed yesterday in European stores with a ‘Quickstrike’ Nike. Striking for the beauty of the colors and patterns: 5 variants, frankly more beautiful than the Air Max 1. Obviously only for women.

aa06e9548bd4ec55ca2d94cdd1eda2e9

One of the must of the season will be to them, the Windsor Smith. Many love them, some hate them. But I have no doubt will be snapped up.

Australian brand, quality but with a very affordable price, have appeared at the foot of fashionistas and fashion blogger last summer.

The brand has great fame in Australia and a sample large enough, but he literally hit the heart of the fans, with his platform shoes: in particular models Fluffy in the all-black version also all-white, which take, leather and the wedge shapes of shoes sea rubber used to dress young.

And if many, at first glance, perplexing, others, once worn if they are literally in love.

We leave you to the photos still-life but also to a number of look, to show the effect of an outfit.

emilio-pucci-fall-winter-2015-runway57

Looking to zodiac signs and celestial motifs, Emilio Pucci creative director Peter Dundas presented a graphic collection for fall-winter 2015 with inspiration ranging from Stevie Nicks to Jimmy Page. With this being his rumored final outing for the brand, Dundas showcased some of his greatest strengths with sexy, rock and roll inspired ensembles as well as more covered up looks. Whether it is a sparkling black mini dress or a velvet cape adorned with moons and stars; the Emilio Pucci woman stands out from the crowd and reaches for the sky while doing so.

NEW YORK F/W2015

figtny_nwfw_grid-800x533The past few weeks seem like a bit of a blur…NYFW just wrapped up and I’m happy to report I survived !

NYFW Fall/Winter 2015 happened to fall right in the middle of Valentine’s Day, a US holiday long-weekend, the NBA All-Stars hosted in New York and Saturday Night Live’s 40th Anniversary Special also being hosted in New York…literally a “Perfect Storm” …so with all that going on you can only imagine how hard it was to get a taxi and how much time I ended up spending in Ubers!! And I should also mention the below freezing weather, not the ideal conditions to be wearing anything other than a giant parka but of course thats not what NYFW is all about ; )

I also did a Instagram Takeover for Hudson Hotel during Fashion Week, it was an ideal spot to set up a home-base in between shows & events. Several popular bloggers also called The Hudson home during fashion week, check out Hudson Hotel Instagram to see who!!

Ended up seeing some amazing shows, with amazing clothes, among my favorite were Creatures of the Wind, Rodebjer, Reem Acra & Prabal Gurung…

See a few of my pics below from out & about during NYFW, the runways/showrooms & backstage details of my past few weeks !

FEBRUARY LOOKBOOK IN ROME

Free-People-February-2015-8

For Free People’s February campaign, Estonian model Karmen Pedaru takes us on a ride through the streets of Italy’s capital city and the place she calls home, Rome.

The images showcase Karmen in true Free People fashion as she strikes a pose opposite favorite landmarks in spring ready looks. Sticking to a color palette of blues and neutrals, the styling features casual and comfortable looks alongside elegant festive numbers. Loose-fitting dresses in varied lengths take the spotlight, while denim paired back with flowy tunics, printed tops, and knitted pullovers, as well as jackets and ponchos, make an appearance alongside.

Casual accessories complete the seasonal looks, with oversized hobo bags, leather belts, metal jewelry, and transitional footwear perfect for exploring new cities.

I kind of love how bored she looks in all the shots…

5 ACCESSORY TRENDS YOU CAN’T IGNORE THIS YEAR

It may not feel like it yet, but spring will be here before we know it, and that means a whole new season full of opportunities to revamp our wardrobe and experiment. I’ve recently noticed a few of the trends that have emerged briefly in the past are quickly becoming fashion staples. This year, they’re better than ever. These jewelry and accessories are just too cool to ignore…

1. Pearl Collars

Thin gold chokers with a pair or trio of pearls are starting to replace the statement jewels and layered necklaces we saw last year. It’s a minimalist approach that looks delicate and intentional, rather than loud or bold. This accessory would look beyond chic paired with an all-white outfit!

 2. Cuffed Jewelry

Cuffed jewelry always seems to be a trend in some form or another, but this year they have endless potential for designs. Take the embellished cuff above by Portland-based Betsy & Iya, which has a sleek brushed gold look from the front and a tiled triangle pattern when worn open-faced. With a sophisticated gold cuff as a jewelry staple, you can’t go wrong.

 3. Embellished Fedoras

Floppy hats, fedoras and Panama hats made waves last summer, and you guessed it – they’re here to stay (no matter the season). Should you find yourself hopping on the trendy hat train this year, try one with a bohemian braid or, like much of the cuff jewelry, one adorned with gold or brass chains.

 4. Chain Headpieces

A simple headband is no longer enough! If you liked any of the above, you’ll love chain headpieces. Often wrapped across and around your head, this accessory is part-hair, part-jewelry, part-hat – all at once. Some people opt for the boho style, while others choose ones with gems or a comb for a dressed-up version. It’s a tough one to pull off as an every day look, but if you love the chains – I say go for it!

5. Holographic Accents

I think the holographic vibes are definitely going to replace all the glitz and glitter: they’re rad, wearable and a little space age. What’s not to love? From out-there holographic clutches to shiny hologram-covered shoes, it’s not everyday you see someone rocking this trend. But when you do, it’s always someone whose style is on point.
