My dreams are always current
For everything that the Internet at large makes us feel like a complete novice to (there’s a 15-year-old somewhere on YouTube schooling us on), there’s one thing we feel that we’ve truly nailed, and it’s the art of packing. We can squeeze in just under a week’s worth of outfits into a carry-on (layers are key, people!) and have our in-flight beauty routine down to a freakish science. So when it comes to nailing the clothes-to-Instagram-worthy pool float equation that is packing for a long weekend away, we’re pretty confident when we say we’ve got this one. Here’s what you’ll need.
This is likely the most sage piece of advice that’s about to come your way on the summer packing front (aside from the classic roll, don’t fold), so listen up: when you find a good swimsuit, hold it tight and don’t ever let it go. Norma Kamali’s renowned for doing the damn thing on the one-piece front for a reason, while this nautically-tinged halterneck bikini offers slightly more secure coverage. That, and stripes and bathers usually make for a happy-making equation. Take your pick.
We’ve all been there: after a decent dip, you just don’t have the kind of energy necessary to put on anything with zippers, pulls or anything consisting of more than one article of clothing. Enter the cover-up: airy enough to toss on over a wet suit, but with just enough substantial coverage that you can run to pick up a trashy tabloid and peaches to toss on the grill, or pass out on the sand (with SPF, under an umbrella) without issue.
You only need one (it can be repurposed for the ride home), so make it a good one. We like a little shift dress in feel-good fabrics and weather-appropriate hues. Or just toss on a pair of cut-offs and some heels with your cover-up and call it a night. We don’t judge.
Consider these the pieces that will take your casual, beach bum self from mermaid to fitting in with everyone else. A pair of beautiful leather sandals, a straw hat to plunk on your IRL beach waves, a crocheted shoulder bag, vaguely whimsical-without-having-to-smell-like-patchouli jewelry.
I’m loving these easy summer style lookbook photos from Intermix… which I think are all on sale at the moment. I was going to PIN them all for style inspo and thought I’d share here instead. Just a few relaxed looks I want to recreate with my own wardrobe to get that casual-cool summer vibe I’m loving right now.

If you don’t know by now what Pitti Uomo exactly is, here’s a simple explanation: menswear. Starting on June 16th, both renown and aspiring brands and their prospective buyers will come together to view upcoming Fall 2015 collections. What’s unique from your typical fashion week is that Pitti is the foundation of imminent success or failure in the fashion marketplace. It’s more than gawking at the runway; it’s about direct propositions between designers and buyers both envisioning future trends.
This year, with 1150 brands originating from all across the globe, men’s fashion will once again be reinvented by the distinctive tastes and concepts of international artists. For those aspiring for a fresh look but don’t know where to start, Pitti Uomo will give you an early sneak peek at what will hit retail stores over the fall.

Say Ibiza and say discos . Say Ibiza and in the collective you draw immediately the picture of a situation made up of people in tank top , shaved up to the limit of depilabile , queuing to get to dance and is found the next morning on the beach with gait and zombie first caipiroska glass in hand already at ten am.
But no. No sir, Ibiza is a world meant to discos and light, some slight exaggeration, and many, many Milanese, but is also and above all an island full of corners to discover, of light that illuminates small golden statues of Buddha in meditation collected , hippy markets that sell useless things and therefore must-buy, a corner of paradise where wait the sunset on the beach and applaud the sun seems to descend vertically into the sea calm, to exchange the day with the night, the hour of breakfast snack, dine when we would look good for an early breakfast, to eat bread with aioli after the last dive in the cove full of tourists who take off the costume as it were the most natural thing in the world.
Ibiza is the island of white dresses and stivalacci of skin, hair bend to tie in your hair and a thousand bracelets braided leather to tie around the wrist.
Ok go a small my selection…
Lupita Nyong’o is simply stunning. She’s graceful and gorgeous and elegant and classic and beautiful and every other word I can think of to describe perfection… Lupita embodies it. And every single red carpet event, she hits it out of the park. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE! Her gown choice is ALWAYS stunning and her hair and makeup is so natural-looking, it’s as if she just woke up, put on a little lipstick and used the same product on her cheeks and eyes as well. Of course, we know that’s not the case, and to get a “natural” look takes work, but her radiance shines no matter what.
Staying true to her love for color, Lupita wore a truly INCREDIBLE green gown designed by Gucci, which fluttered and floated across the red carpet like an angel at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.
To compliment her stunning green gown, and as a Lancôme Ambassadress, makeup artist Nick Barose gave the actress dramatic, full brows, elegantly-lined eyes and a bold fuchsia lip. Below are the products he used…

Last month, the news was revealed that Kendall Jenner would star in Fendi’s fall-winter 2015 campaign, but did you know that she will be blonde in the Karl Lagerfeld lensed images?
Hairstylist Sam McKnight shared an image of Kendall as a blonde and her co-star Lily Donaldson as brunette for the ultimate switch-up on Instagram. The two also sported matching cat eyes for their beauty look. Here’s to hoping that this campaign won’t get vandalized like her recent Calvin Klein billboard.
